Guanajuato
Discover a charming colorful city located at the bottom of a narrow glen, where most of the streets are winding, many of them not big enough for cars and tunnels built in the past to let the river run all across the location. The city was settled down there as the Spanish found gold and silver mines in the surrounding mountains. One of them named La Valenciana, gave fame &
wealth to Mexico by providing two-thirds of the world’s silver production at peak. Surprise yourself with a short tour in the local theater that welcomes The Cervantino Festival (held on October every year) with artists and performers from all over the world and Mexico as well.
Experience one more city listed as one of Mexico’s 35 UNESCO World Heritage Sites from 1988 that was the first battlefield of the Mexican War of Independence.
