My boyfriend and I had the BEST day on this tour! My guide (Mariana (Dina)) is my favorite person! She taught us all about the history of the university, coyacan and xochimilco. We ate the best food at the lively market and shopped at the stores for gifts for loved ones back home. The canals were amazing! Everyone was so friendly and offered food, drinks and mariachi music! I am so happy I went on this tour, I would go again in a second. We felt very safe. Everyone wore masks, gave hand sanitizer, was physically distant and took people’s temperature at each location.

Mariana was on hand to assist with translations or explanations as needed and had everything arranged. Completely seamless experience. 15/10 would recommend.

Recently, we spent 10 days, visiting “Mexico colonial heritage” area with 👋 Mexico Prívate Tours.

Our guide was 👉 Alfredo De La Cruz. He was best.

We enjoyed whole trip thoroughly lots of Spanish and 🇲🇽 Mexican history, 🏘️ colonial cities with magnificent churches 🕍 of 200-300 years old, nice hotels and enjoy food 🥑.

We recommend tourists to try this tour. Everything was excellent 💯

We are preparing for 2 more trips with them

Mariana was the best! Her van was spotless. Her English is very good. She was very flexible and took us to the most delicious places to eat. We weren’t allowed to climb either pyramid due to COVID and some of the rooms that had been opened in the past were also closed, but to be open soon. Tourism turned to green that afternoon ( I don’t know what that means, but when Mariana got the text that said that , she ripped off her mask and whooped). At lunch she asked us what else we had planned for the rest of the trip. We told her that Sunday we were taking the Metro to the Basílica de Guadalupe. She said that she would take us and then drive us back to our place because the Metro passed through a couple of really dangerous stations that she didn’t want us in. She stayed with us the whole time, teaching us new things, pointing out the damages from the earthquake and telling us different antidotes about her life and family. She is very accepting and gay friendly. Our eight hour tour turned into a ten hour one. We would totally rebook her for any tour in and near Mexico City.

My wife and I spent and 3rd and final day with Mariana exploring the old city and market place of Coyoacon and the ever relazing boat ride of Xochimilco.

had a great lunch at the Coyoacon Market, explored the city and local shops as Mariana told us the history of the area. Was a great time and food was great. The Coyoacon market place was busy, and the vendors there weren’t pushy or anything. Really a nice change of pace.

Although Xochimilco is touristy, and shy not, right, it was fun to have a few Victoria beers whole lstening to the Marcahi bands play along and wathc other boats of folks having fun partying. We didn’t do the long long tour to see the creepy Doll island, but the replica island was sorta crep as well…but pretty cool.

All in all a fun way to spend the day.

    Amazing day with Jerry

Review of Day Trip Chichen Itza with Jerry from Cancun

Reviewed January 11, 2020 via mobile

We took a private day tour with Jerry on January 9,2020. There were two of us and Jerry and our driver Ruben. Everything about the day was great. We made a stop on the way to Chichen Itza and Jerry helped us pick out some traditional Mexican food for breakfast. By starting early we got to Chichen Itza before the crowds. Jerry took us all around the sight explaining in detail the meaning behind the buildings and carvings giving us a bet the r understanding of Mayan history and culture. We then went to the Samaal Cenote. It had started to get humid and this was the perfect cool off. We had a great lunch on site. Afterwards we went for a quick walk around Valladolid. We loved our day and highly recommend touring with Jerry.

    Fantastic trip

Review of: Day Trip Chichen Itza with Jerry from Cancun

Jerry is the best tour guide I have ever experienced in decades of travel. His knowledge of history and culture, his charm, his wit, his ability to put everyone at ease and his planning skills are unsurpassed. We left Playa at 6AM. Not my favorite time of day but it allowed us to arrive in Chichen Itza just as they opened and to complete our tour before the heat became oppressive and the crowds arrived. After that, a dip in the cenote to cool, and a delicious lunch. And then, a trip to a “real” Mexican town, real as opposed to the tourist resorts like Playa and Cancun. The cenote is magnificent, you climb down a few flights of steps to a magical pool with a waterfall. It is worth the climb back up!

Review of: Day Trip Chichen Itza with Jerry from Cancun

Jerry is so knowledgable on Mexican and Mayan culture; our tour with him was absolutely fascinating! The best part was the timing. Jerry planned our trip so we totally missed the crowds which were extensive by the time we left. The day was thoroughly enjoyable in every way.

Review of: Day Trip Chichen Itza with Jerry from Cancun

Had a wonderful private tour of Chichen Itza, Samaal Cenote, and a quaint tequila distillery! Jerry was extremely knowledgeable of almost every facet of Chichen Itza so it’s like you’re taking the tour with a museum docent… just don’t expect to joke around much with Jerry – he takes the site very seriously, which is really a good thing. Everything related to the tour was top notch and very well-oiled and smooth. Highly recommended if you want to see everything!

Highly Recommended for a Private Day Tour!

Review of Day Trip Chichen Itza with Jerry from Cancun

Touring with Jerry was amazing and I highly recommend! I booked the private tour of Chichen Itza with Jerry because I was traveling with my mother, who is older, and I was worried she might not be able to keep up with a regular tour. We left earlier than all the other tours and got to Chichen Itza before it even opened. We were among the first inside and even beat the vendors! It was incredible to see the pyramid without have hundreds of other people around and we were able to take the whole tour before the worst of the heat came. My mother was really happy that she could take things at her own pace and not have to delay a busload of people. Jerry was really knowledgeable and you could tell he was really passionate about the Mexico, Cancun, Chichen Itza, and the Maya. The lunch, cenote and town were great and we felt safe the whole time. If I even make it back to Cancun Jerry will be first call for a tour of some other fascinating ruin!

My husband and I wanted to see the butterflies with a SMART guide! WOW!! We hit the jackpot!! Alfredo was everything and MORE! We arrived in Morelia (such a beautiful city), were met by Alfredo t the airport and our journey began. Once we dropped off our things at the hotel we had lunch together and began learning. The rest of the day was all about Morelia. Friday Alfredo picked us up and took us to Patzcuaro and surrounding areas to learn the history! FABULOUS!! Saturday we left bright and early and drove to the mountains and began our butterfly experience. Alfredo was educating us all along the way… and it was wonderful! We spent the night in Zitacuaro and on Sunday toured other towns before heading back to Morelia. Monday we met Alfredo for breakfast, headed for the airport and flew home. All in all… a FABULOUS trip with a FABULOUS guide! We look forward to many more trips with Alfredo!!

Jerry is guide with real passion to culture & history

Review of Day Trip Chichen Itza with Jerry from Cancun

We were family of 21 with kids, after reading good reviews on trip advisor we booked Chechen Itza, Cenote day trip with Jerry. Due to personal conflict, one family dropped out from the trip in last min, leaving the total to 16. Jerry was kind enough to explore options to reduce overall cost and arranged smaller bus, which saved us significant amount. On day of the trip, he showed up sharply at committed time at our resort.. after boarding, he shared background about Mayan civilization, their believes in gods & nature elements etc.. Unlike other guides / tours, with Jerry there is no shopping or marketing stops.. the only stop we had was for restrooms & coffee / breakfast. Unlike other guides, who only spend 30 mins at Chechen Itza, we spend more than 2 hours. Jerry took pride to share every small details about the Mayan culture and significance of monuments etc.. Cenote was surprise highlight of the trip.. Jerry proposed literary is perfectly planned to skip the crowds and hot weather conditions.. Though it is challenging to start so early (6 am) for the trip during vacation.. it is totally worth it. Everyone including kids enjoyed the trip. I strongly recommend Jerry as guide for anyone looking for authentic culture & historical visit.

Alfredo was a personable, knowledgeable and very capable tour guide. The way in which he willingly shared information about his country and culture, along with, his knowledge of the butterfly reserve made the tour so worthwhile. Book him. You won’t be disappointed.

Alfredo was an exceptional guide for our Monarch tour. He made the long drive over interesting – offering enough info to keep the time moving but not over-loading us! He knew a lot about not only El Rosario but the monarchs, the milkweed varieties, the birds & was very familiar with the local people. We had an exceptional day. He included a great lunch & got us home safely. Above all, he was very patient with us when we needed a rest! It’s quite a hike! Thanks, Alfredo! So glad we went.

Alfredo did a fantastic job! Seeing the monarchs was the highlight of our entire time in Mexico. He was early picking us up from the hotel and his car was very clean. He drove very safely and frequently paused to help us take the best photos. He’s very knowledgeable and speaks excellent English. Would highly recommend you use him for any trip to central Mexico!

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Mexico thanks to Mr. Alfredo de la Cruz. Alfredo is very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. He fluently explained many things about the culture and history of the places we visited. He also showed us the best and easiest way to the butterfly mountain, Paricutin Volcano, Lake Patzcuaro, and Janitzio Island. Thank you so much for a wonderful and safe trip.

Senor Alfredo was a wonderful guide who took special pains to make us feel very much at ease. He was always looking out for us and even bought us an unexpected dinner at a wonderful restaurant. On the last day he even brought us on an unscheduled detour so that he can show us the beautiful town of Patzcuaro. On the roads Sr Alfredo was always very safe and careful. He also taught us many things about Mexico and gave us wonderful insights about the people and culture of this beautiful country.
