Oaxaca Folk Art Tour – Half day or Full day tour

This is a full morning or full day tour to the South valley of Oaxaca, first to visit the village of San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its Black Pottery. Then visit the village of San Martin Tilcajete, where the famous Alebrijes – wood carved painted animals are made and finally to the village of Santo Tomas Jalieza, where women make cotton textiles with a waist/back strap loom. Optional visits to women’s coop of amazing blouse & dress makers of Oaxaca’s special silk over cotton “lace” weavers, also to a traditional workshop of cutlery makers with old school forges and that recycle springs from cars, water faucets… etc, also a blind Master potter, considered today a living legend… and many more villages.
