Oaxaca Colonial Jewels Tour – Full day tour

This is a tour to the north west of Oaxaca City into the Mixtec Mountains known as the Mixteca Alta, in route to the city of Puebla. This was a very strategic & important region for the Spiritual Conquest in XVI Century. Unique & unusual colonial Churches & Convents were built from as early as the 1540’s to the 1560’s to convert the Ñuu Savi, before anything begun in Antequera (Today Oaxaca City).

We will visit the extraordinary Dominican monuments at Yanhuitlan & Teposcolula both National Monuments with special iconography, art & architectural features.

A great lunch is included during the tour.
