Guachimontones
Interesting journey between plantations of sugar cane and blue agave that we find on the way to the town of Teuchitlán; Place where the museum of site is visited to obtain more references of the Guachimontones.
This was the oldest and most important indigenous culture in the west of the country, with 30,000 inhabitants in 800 BC. Previous to the Mayas, Teotihuacán and Aztecas.
Later this settlement is visited where there are several constructions with a very unique architectural style, among them several stepped conical mounds surrounded by an amphitheater, a ball game and some esplanades. Then it is
suggested to eat at a beautiful former hacienda where you can enjoy delicious Mexican or international food.
